Brook is an Early Childhood professional, parent of two, and an enthusiastic advocate for children and their learning. She brings a playful and joyful energy to her work with young children and has a particular gift for engaging children both individually and in large groups. Whether she is joining a child’s imaginative game or helping a whole group of children become immersed in an experience, Brook meets children where they are and finds genuine joy in playing alongside them.
Brook is especially skilled at observing children closely and thoughtfully. She has a keen eye for the small moments in children’s play, relationships, and development, and often uses these observations to help shape our curriculum and deepen our documentation. She believes that careful observation is one of the most valuable tools an educator has, allowing teachers to better understand what children are communicating, what they are curious about, and where their interests might lead next.
Outside of Olive Branch, Brook spends much of her time volunteering with the Scouts, where she enjoys supporting children and contributing to youth education in her community. She recently won a Little Free Library for her home through a community contest, highlighting her commitment to making learning, books, and opportunities for children accessible to the families around her. When she isn't at preschool or volunteering, Brook enjoys spending time with her family and taking fantastical Disney vacations.
