Maggie began working with children over ten years ago as a tutor, and has since grown to become a passionate and intentional early childhood professional. While tutoring, she discovered that she had a unique passion for supporting diverse needs and soon began volunteering at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital as a respite care provider for individuals with developmental disabilities. She often reflects on the value of this experience and how it continues to inform her work with young children. Her diverse experiences in the early years of her career have helped shape her pedagogy since becoming a preschool teacher three years ago.

Maggie’s teaching philosophy centers on fostering children's natural sense of wonder. She believes firmly that early childhood is a sacred time for discovery, and she loves helping young children learn about themselves, each other, and the world around them. She is particularly proud of her ability to create a safe, joyful environment where children feel confident to explore, ask questions, and grow into enthusiastic, lifelong learners.

Maggie is a lifelong learner herself — impressively, she holds a BA in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Management, as well as three AA degrees (Math & Science, Social Science & Behavioral Science, and Arts & Humanities). When not fully immersed in the world of education at any age level, Maggie enjoys hiking, long boarding, and spending time with friends. Bonus fun fact about Maggie: she also loves public speaking and is an intramural speech champion!
